Media law includes multiple subjects. In addition to public media law (e.g. the Dutch Media Act), it also includes advertising law, portrait rights, and the area of freedom of speech. Other included subsections are the freedom of information and privacy related matters. The various forms of regulation not only apply to traditional media but also increasingly to online platforms and publications, social media accounts and posts, blogs and vlogs.
