Do you know the latest business model in marketing? Hijack the name of a Dutch celebrity as a trademark and then introduce yourself as the new 'strategic and creative online partner of trademarks'. This strategy was used last year by a marketing agency from Waalwijk (the Netherlands).
Does it actually work? No, fortunately for stylist and reality star Roy Donders the District Court of Zeeland-West Brabant decided that such a way of 'trademark hijacking' is unacceptable. The marketing agency therefore has no other option then creating a different and above all, a more creative strategy.
