Jacintha van Dorp

Jacintha van Dorp works at Van Kaam as an associate.

Jacintha is a dedicated lawyer who utilizes every opportunity to serve her clients. Since the beginning of her career, she has been active in technology, media, and communications law, advising and litigating on all facets of this field. She assists both large corporations and sole proprietorships, as well as individuals.

Before being sworn in as a lawyer in 2019, Jacintha studied at Leiden University, where she also participated in the extracurricular Honours College Law program. She then completed the selective Master's program in Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. Jacintha wrote her master's thesis on the blocking of online terrorist material by online platforms and how this practice relates to freedom of expression, prompted by French legislation on the subject.

During her studies, Jacintha took several French courses at the Université de Tours (France), such as Libertés Fondamentales (Fundamental Rights) and Propriété Intellectuelle (Intellectual Property). She also interned at the Dutch media regulator, the Dutch embassy in Paris, and the IP/IT/Privacy department of a large law firm in Amsterdam.

Jacintha began her career at a mid-sized niche firm specializing in technology, media, and communications. After four years, she transitioned to Van Kaam.

In addition to Dutch and English, Jacintha is also fluent in French.
